My Portfolio
Working with open source data and software to better understand the world around us. Throughout my time in academia, I have worked with satellite data from multiple organizations including NASA, NOAA and the ESA. Processes and analysis was all done with Rstudio, FME and QGIS. This is my journey to expanding and showcasing my skills as an analyst and my programming experience.

More About My Journey
My thesis research is focused on understanding snow cover variations in the offseason in southern interior British Columbia. This region is anticipated to undergo increasing difficulty with climate change. Increase rain-on-snow events, elevation dependent warming and increasing overall temperatures. These changes lead to decreases in water availability, increases in forest fires, changes to ecological systems, decreased crop yield etc. Understanding snow cover changes during the spring freshet is crucial.
Whilst undergoing my analysis to explain variations in snow cover, I realized my love for data analysis and visualization. The projects shown here include pieces of my masters research as well as projects featuring open source data, programs and code like Rstudio, Tableau Public and SQL.
